The
Cuyahoga
River runs through Kent and this waterfall
that cascades beneath the tracks of the Erie
Railroad is a landmark site. A wooden walkway
now leads down to the water's edge so visitors
can get an up-close view of the rushing water.
From that vantage point, visitors can also watch
the trains chug by while viewing the Pufferbelly
Ltd. in the background. The Pufferbelly, a former
train depot, was renovated and opened as a restaurant
in 1981, retaining much of the flavor of the
original waystation for railway travelers.
